Shooting At Maple Grove Benihana Under Investigation

MAPLE GROVE, MN — Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Friday afternoon at the Benihana restaurant on Fountains Drive, according to the Maple Grove Police Department.

Officers were dispatched to the 11800 block of Fountains Drive at about 4:30 p.m. When they arrived, both the suspect and the victim had already left the area in separate vehicles, police said.

The victim later arrived at a local hospital with an unknown injury and is currently receiving treatment.

Police said the incident does not appear to be random and that there is no known immediate or ongoing threat to the public. No arrests have been made.
