Brooklyn Park Police Clarify ICE Arrest At Area Business

Police said Homeland Security Investigations agents arrested a single staff member Friday, correcting rumors.

BROOKLYN PARK, MN — Federal immigration authorities arrested one employee at a Brooklyn Park business Friday morning, after rumors incorrectly claimed all staff members had been taken into custody, according to police.

Brooklyn Park police said they were notified Saturday of a report that all individuals at a business in the 8500 block of Zane Avenue North had been arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement the previous morning.

Police did not identify the business publicly.

Officers investigated and confirmed that Homeland Security Investigations agents arrested a single staff member at the business around 10 a.m. Friday. No other employees were taken into custody, police said.

Brooklyn Park police said they were not involved in the arrest.
