Buckthorn to Art, Silverwood Park Events October 2012

Help Three Rivers Parks “Beat Back the Buckthorn” at Silverwood Park. This invasive species produces a dense shade that prevents the establishment of native trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants. With no “natural controls” to limit its growth, buckthorn is a threat to the future of native natural habitats. Volunteers are needed to help keep this species at bay. Open to eight years old.

Dates include Wednesday, Oct. 17; Thursday, Oct.18; and Friday Oct.19; from 9 a.m.-noon, or 1-4 p.m.  Groups are asked to call 763-694-7724 to register.
