Thursday, Oct. 25, from 10 a.m.-noon, at Fish Lake Regional Park, Maple Grove. Drop off the kids to discover the secret lives of bats. Fly into a “bat cave,” play “feed the bat” and a bat-moth game. Me, My Baby & the Mississippi: Nighttime Animals
Thursday, Oct. 25, from 10-11 a.m., at Kroening Interpretive Center, in North Mississippi Regional Park, Brooklyn Center. Explore the night and the animals that are awake as we sleep. Come in pajamas to try to catch the “fireflies,” wear owl eyes, and watch a puppet show. Cost is $5 and reservations are required. Tuesday, Nov. 6, from 9:30-11:30 a.m., at Silverwood Park, St. Anthony. Each week’s activities are based on a different children’s book with a nature-inspired art theme. We will spend part of every class exploring what autumn brings to our life-filled wetlands, woods and prairies; then get messy as we cut, paste, paint, or sculpt.
