Preschool Drop-off: Kits & Cubs - Little Brown Bat

Thursday, Oct. 25, from 10 a.m.-noon, at Fish Lake Regional Park, Maple Grove. Drop off the kids to discover the secret lives of bats. Fly into a “bat cave,” play “feed the bat” and a bat-moth game. Me, My Baby & the Mississippi: Nighttime Animals

Thursday, Oct. 25, from 10-11 a.m., at Kroening Interpretive Center, in North Mississippi Regional Park, Brooklyn Center. Explore the night and the animals that are awake as we sleep. Come in pajamas to try to catch the “fireflies,” wear owl eyes, and watch a puppet show. Cost is $5 and reservations are required. Doodlebugs

Tuesday, Nov. 6, from 9:30-11:30 a.m., at Silverwood Park, St. Anthony. Each week’s activities are based on a different children’s book with a nature-inspired art theme. We will spend part of every class exploring what autumn brings to our life-filled wetlands, woods and prairies; then get messy as we cut, paste, paint, or sculpt. Dress for the weather and bring a light snack, water bottle, and a bag to keep all your projects together. Cost is $10 and reservations are required. Grandparent and Child Clay

Wednesday, Nov. 7, from 10-11:30 a.m., at Silverwood Park, St. Anthony. Discover the qualities of clay through art making between grandparent and grandchild. Then the instructor will show you how to make a project using autumn as inspiration. At the end of class, paint your project with bright colors. Dress for mess.
