Homeschool: Using a Compass

Monday, Oct. 8, from 10 a.m.- noon, at Kroening Interpretive Center, in North Mississippi Regional Park, Brooklyn Center. Make a compass out of household items, and complete a compass course. Homeschool: Archery

Wednesday, Oct. 10, from 10 a.m.-noon, at the archery range in Elm Creek Park Reserve, Dayton. Learn about compound bows, range safety, and proper National Archery in the Schools (NASP) shooting techniques. All equipment is provided. Cost is $7 and reservations are required. Homeschool Farm Quest - Fall

Friday, Oct. 12, from 1:30-3:30 p.m., at Gale Woods Farm, Minnetrista. Learn how the farmers care for the animals and gardens throughout the year. Each month, care for the animals and cook with farm produce in the Education Center. This program is designed for the skills and interests of children ages 7-11 (first through fifth grades). This is a drop-off class; parents are welcome to stay but may be asked to assist the Farm Educator during the program. Cost is $10 and reservations are required by Oct. 10. Homeschool Farm Discovery - Fall

Friday, Oct. 12, from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at Gale Woods Farm, Minnetrista. Learn how the farmers care for the animals and gardens throughout the year. Each month we will care for the animals and cook with farm produce in the education center. This program is designed for the skills and interests of children ages 2 to 4 (toddlers and preschoolers). All children must be accompanied by a parent or other responsible adult who attends at no charge. Parents may be asked to assist the Farm Educator during the program.
