The UW-Eau Claire men's cross country team got a big boost from some its youngest members at the Luther College JV Cup in Decorah, Iowa Nov. 2. The team had seven men finishing in the top ten runners, six of whom were either freshmen or sophomores.
Leading the pack was Nick Petersson (Fr.-Brookfield, Wis./Central), taking first place overall and finishing with a time of 26:15.6. He was followed by Tyler Olson (So.-Maple Grove, Minn.) who finished in third place and had a time of 26:19.6. Teammate Erik Rosvold (So.-Apple Valley, Minn./Eastview) followed just seconds later to grab the fourth place spot, with a time of 26:35.5. Matt Cooper (Fr.-Ashwaubenon, Wis.) took fifth place, crossing the line just three seconds later with a time of 26:38.
