Get your garden ready: make a milkweed seed mud-ball.
On Saturday, June 1, from 1-4 p.m. at Eastman Nature Center, in Elm Creek Park Reserve, Maple Grove, a master gardener will teach about other butterfly-friendly plantings and send you home with native seeds.
A kids craft and the Larva Life Challenge Course add to the fun. Learn about the Monarch Larva Monitoring Project, sign up for training, and browse educational displays. Monarchs are returning from the south, and all butterflies are looking for nectar and caterpillar food in our flower gardens.
