Webelos: Geology

Saturday, Nov.10, from 10 a.m.-noon, at Eastman Nature Center, in Elm Creek Park Reserve, Dayton. Explore the rocks and minerals we use in our daily lives. Create a “fossil.” Dig into earthquakes, mountains, weathering, and volcanoes. Talk with a geologist and see a “rock show.” Cost is $5 and this program is for ages 8-13. Activity number #412204-02.

Girl Scouts: L.O.S.T.

Saturday, Nov. 10, from 1-3 p.m., at French Regional Park, Plymouth. Do you have the skills and knowledge to survive in the woods? Join us for a Living Outside Survival Training (L.O.S.T.). Our experienced instructors will teach you the life-saving skills of fire building, shelter building, signaling, and wilderness safety. All equipment is provided. Cost is $6 and this program is for ages 9-17. Activity number #424904-04.
