Skijoring Clinic at French Regional Park

The following was provided by Three Rivers Park District. 

Skijoring, the sport of dog-assisted cross-country skiing, is a winter activity that keeps both you and your dog active and healthy.

This clinic for beginners will include information on equipment needed, commands used, proper training techniques, and etiquette on the trail. Experienced skijorers will be on hand to answer questions and guide you and your dog through an on-foot training session (equipment provided). Three Rivers Parks skijoring trails and upcoming skijoring events will also be discussed.

Skijor Now staff will fit dog harnesses and skijor belts for those wishing to purchase equipment.
