The Maple Grove City Council recently approved setting a special city council meeting for 4 p.m. Nov. 9, 2012 to canvass the results of the Nov. 6 general election.
Minnesota State statue requires "between the third and tenth day after the election, the governing body of a city shall canvass the returns and declare the results of the election," according to the city of Maple Grove.
