Bluegrass, Blues and a Day at the Maple Grove Farmers Market

With the summer quickly turning towards fall, the days to enjoy the outdoors might be getting shorter.

Find out some of the outside (and inside) activities happening throughout Maple Grove Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013.

• The Okee Dokee Brothers (interactive bluegrass) will perform at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 15 at Town Green in Maple Grove off of Main Street.

• The Lamont Cranston Band (blues) will perform 6-8 p.m. at Arbor Park at The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes as part of the Summer Faire series.

• The weekly Maple Grove Farmers Market will take place 3-7 p.m. at the Maple Grove Community Center. In addition to a variety of vendors, hear live music, watch a chef demonstration and treat the kids to storytime (starting at 4:40 p.m.)

• Join or learn more about Maple Grove Moms on the Run with a free fitness class.

• If you have a senior at Osseo Senior High, remember orientation takes place at 8 a.m. at the school (7:30 a.m. for lockers and informal photo). If they missed it, they will have an opportunity to make it up 6 p.m. Aug. 26.
