Canning Tips, Giveaway and More: Thursday at the Maple Grove Farmers Market
There are several canning related items at the Sept. 5 market.
The 2013 Maple Grove Farmers Market continues each Thursday through Oct. 24 outside at the Maple Grove Community Center parking lot, 12951 Weaver Lake Road.
Here is a look at some of the highlights for the Sept. 5 market:
- Starting at 3:30 p.m., there will be hourly drawing for a case of canning jars. Sign up at the Market Information Trailer. Winners must be able to pick up at a future outdoor market.
- Share favorite canning or pickling recipes. Drop it off at the Market Information Trailer. One or more recipes will be shred in future market email newsletters and updates.
- Pick up a Ball canning guide at the Market Information Trailer.
- More than 40 vendors will provide fresh produce and specialty products.
- Live music every Thursday through September.
- Free weekly recipes highlighting seasonal products.
