Central Park Earns State Excellence Award Within 1 Year of Opening

It didn't take long for Maple Grove's Central Park to earn recognition from the state's park association.

Less than one year after its grand opening, Central Park is making an impact on thousands of Maple Grove residents — and organizations are taking notice.

The Minnesota Recreation and Park Association has bestowed city officials with an Award of Excellence for the bustling center. Located just two blocks east of the Maple Grove Library at 12000 Central Park Way, it features several multi-use buildings, trails, an interactive fountain, a garden and labyrinth, and an impressive playground.

"We're thrilled that thousands have already enjoyed this special place!" said a post on the city's Facebook page.
