Gardening, Float Your Boat and Buds: May Activities for Kids in Three Rivers Parks
From Gale Woods Farm to the The Landing-Minnesota River Heritage Park, there are a variety of activities for children at the beginning of May.

The following is a list of activities May 6-11, 2013, as provided by the Three Rivers Park District. Some events require preregistration.
Preschool Drop-Off: Kits & Cubs: Buds and Blossoms
Monday, May 6, from 1-3 p.m., at Eastman Nature Center, in Elm Creek Park Reserve, Maple Grove. Decorate garden pots and plant seeds to grow at home. Play in the sensory table, learn what a flower needs to grow and examine the parts of a flower. Design a flower treat for a snack and go on a wildflower hunt. My Preschooler and Me: Puppet Escapades: Are You My Mom?
Tuesday, May 7, from 10-11 a.m., at Kroening Interpretive Center, in North Mississippi Regional Park, Minneapolis. Join in animal adventures as you watch a puppet show, then do a activity or craft. Monday, May 6, from 10-11 a.m., at Gale Woods Farm, Minnetrista. Come hear all about the adventures of our farm puppet friends. Explore introductory activities with your preschooler before the show and take a hike on your own to see the wonders of the farm. Pack a picnic lunch to enjoy on your own after the show. This is an adult-child class. Families are welcome. Adults must accompany children and pay the program fee. Cost is $4 and reservations are required. This month, we will explore how animals move and see if we can move in those same ways, make a craft, and end the day with a healthy snack brought from home.
