Grass Fires Near Kohl’s, Pittsburgh Blue and AMC in Maple Grove
The Maple Grove Fire Department also responded to several incidents of burnt food.

The following incident information for the week of June 25 to July 7, 2013 was provided by the Maple Grove Fire Department.
June 25
- 8000 block of Wedgewood Lane North. Outside equipment fire. Reported as small grassfire beneath street sign for Kohl's department store. Upon investigation determined that sign had caught fire and burning plastic had fallen to grass causing the grass fire.

- 10200 block of Revere Lane North. Cooking fire, confined to container.
June 27
- 11900 block of Main Street North. Grass fire. Fire inspectors discovered a small area of landscaping outside of Pittsburgh Blue burning.

- 9900 block of Balsam Lane North. Authorized controlled burning
- 11100 block of 69th Place North. Odor, smell of gas.
July 2
- 6300 block of Queensland La N Natural vegetation fire. Electrical fire caused landscape mulch to catch fire. Disconnected electrical equipment and extinguished fire in mulch.
- 6500 block of Walnut Grove Lane North. Odor /Smell of Gas
July 3
- 8300 block of Rice Lake Road. Burnt Food
July 4
- 18000 block of 83rd Avenue North. Unauthorized burning - no permit
July 5
- 12500 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Grass fire. Passerby reported a grass fire behind AMC movie theatre. Small fire in grassy area.
July 6
- 18100 block of 66th Place North. Burnt food. Resident came home and found house full of smoke. Stove had been left on. Food burned on stove top. Ventilated home.
- I-94 and I-494 Extrication of victim(s) from vehicle. Vehicle rollover. Driver not injured but unable to get out of vehicle. Car stabilized, front windshield cut and removed. Driver able to get out of vehicle without assistance at that point.
July 7
- 6800 block of Quantico Lane North. Unauthorized burning.
- 6500 block of Garland Lane North. Burnt food.
There were also 21 incidents of false or malfunctioning alarms.
