How Much Snow Fell in Maple Grove?

A winter storm dropped enough snow to prompt many school and business closures April 18 and April 19, 2013.

Just when signs of spring were starting to appear in Maple Grove, a winter storm warning brought a fresh batch of snow to the city. 

As of 7 a.m. Friday, April 19, the National Weather Service reports between 3.5 and 5 inches of fresh snow in Maple Grove. 

Fox9 Meteorologist and Maple Grove resident Keith Marler told Patch he has received reports of snow totals between 8.5 and 10 inches of snow in Maple Grove.

A chance of snow showers is forecast before 1 p.m. Friday followed by a chance of rain and snow showers, according to the National Weather Service, with a high near 37. 

The Saturday forecast is a bit milder, with sun and a high near 39. Snow and rain could be make reappearance Saturday night before 1 a.m., according to the National Weather Service forecast, followed by snow of less than an inch and a snow/rain mix into Sunday.
