Indoor Farmers Market Opens Thursday

Beginning Thursday, Nov. 7, over 25 vendors will move inside the community center to offer their locally grown wares to shoppers.

Though the phrase “farmers market” might conjure up an image of tomatoes and sweet corn under a blue sky, the Maple Grove Farmers Market is changing with the turn of the season.

Beginning Thursday, Nov. 7, over 25 vendors will move inside the community center to offer their locally grown wares to shoppers.

Indoor markets are scheduled for 3-6 p.m. on Thursdays, Nov. 7 and 21 and Dec. 5 and 19. The Maple Grove Community Center is located at 12951 Weaver Lake Road in Maple Grove.

“Shoppers can expect to find many of their favorite items from the outdoor market as well as several delicious new additions.” said Carol Morris, market coordinator. “The community center is a wonderful site for an indoor market, and we’re glad to be inside, away from the elements.”

Morris added that the indoor market is traditionally a great venue to shop for seasonal gifts as well as signature ingredients for the holiday table.
