Maple Grove police were searching for the owner of a dune buggy recovered in 2012.

According to Maple Grove Police Detective Tanya Petz: "We located the owner on the dune buggy, a local police department responded to a tri county email."

Maple Grove Police are searching for the owner of a recovered dune buggy – and asking for the public’s assistance. 

The dune buggy, pictured right, was found in a trailer stolen from Hanson Implement Storage on the 18400 Bass Lake Road in Maple Grove. The trailer was later recovered Nov.13, 2012 in Brooklyn Center, according to police, who said the dune buggy doesn’t belong to the trailer owner.

Maple Grove Police are currently in possession of the vehicle, but do not know where it was initially stolen from, according to Detective Tanya Petz with the Maple Grove Police Department.
