As storms made their way across several cities in the <a href="http://district279.org/Welcome/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Osseo School District</a> Friday, June 21, several schools were impacted. Power remained out Monday at the <a href="http://schools.district279.org/OALC/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Osseo Area Learning Center</a> in Brooklyn Park Monday, June 24. <a href="http://schools.district279.org/oak/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Oak View Elementary</a> in Maple Grove lost four trees, <a href="http://schools.district279.org/ci/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Cedar Island Elementary</a> in Maple Grove lost one tree and <a href="http://schools.district279.org/fo/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Fair Oaks Elementary</a> in Brooklyn Park lost two trees, according to Superintendent Kate Maguire. A few buildings in the district also sustained minor roof leaks. "All in all, we were very lucky," Maguire wrote in an email to Patch. ISD 279 serves all or parts of Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, Corcoran, Dayton, Maple Grove, Osseo, Plymouth, and Rogers.
