Maple Grove Assists with Building Fires in Plymouth, Brooklyn Park
The Maple Grove Fire Department also assisted with several vehicle fires on I-94 in July.

After June storms kept Maple Grove firefighters busy, building fires and vehicle fires were among the incidents responded to by the Maple Grove Fire Department in July.
The following incident information for the week of July 10-25, 2013 was provided by the Maple Grove Fire Department.
July 10

- Ramp from EB I-94 to northbound Highway 169. Road freight or transport vehicle fire. Dispatched to semi-truck on fire on freeway ramp. Cab and engine compartment fully engulfed. Fire extinguished.
- Weaver Lake Road and I-94 on bridge. Assist police or other governmental agency. Called to assist with cleanup from traffic accident.
July 11
- 5400 block of Teakwood Lane North. Plymouth building fire.
- 7500 block of Zinnia Way N. Gasoline or other flammable liquid spill.
July 12

- 15700 block of Rockford Road, Plymouth. Building fire.
- 6200 block of Eagle Lake Drive. Power line down.
July 13
- Ramp from eastbound I-94 to northbound Highway 169. Passenger vehicle fire.
July 16
- 9400 block of Dunkirk Lane North. Arcing, shorted electrical equipment.
July 17
- 7800 block of Jefferson Highway. Off-road vehicle or heavy equipment fire.
July 18
- 8400 block of Rhode Island, Brooklyn Park. Building fire.
July 22
- 93rd Place North and Lawndale Lane North. Assist police or other governmental agency. Assisted PD at scene of traffic accident. Put down granular absorbent to contain motor fluids.
July 24
- 8900 block of Tewsbury Gate Arcing, shorted electrical equipment.
There were also 17 false or malfunctioning alarms, four reported gas leaks, two authorized controlled burnings, three unauthorized burnings (no permit), two incidents of burnt food and one water related incident.
