Medallion Hunt
The countdown to Maple Grove Days begins with the annual Medallion Hunt. Search all around town for the hidden 5”x5” bronze colored maple-leaf shaped Medallion. The winner will be presented with a $500 cash prize from the Lookout Bar & Grill at Maple Grove Days on Saturday, July 13. A new clue will be published each week in the Osseo-Maple Grove Press and Maple Grove Patch beginning June 2 through July 11 and on the www.maplegrovedays.org website. The winner must have purchased a $3 Maple Grove Days button to claim prize. A list of guidelines and rules is also available on the website.

Duplicate Bridge Tournament

Pickleball Un-Officiated Tournament
This game is a combination of ping-pong, tennis and badminton and is played with a smaller racquet/paddle and a whiffleball. In this un-officiated round robin tournament top teams will advance to single elimination. Tournament is open to all levels and will be grouped by age (determined by Dec. 31, 2013). Who: Open to boys and girls ages 12-17 who reside in Maple Grove, Osseo and Dayton. Space is limited
Fee: $10 entry fee will be collected from each participant to cover the costs of green fees. If the event is cancelled due to weather, the entry fee will be refunded.

Awards: Medals will be awarded for the champion of the longest putt, the longest drive and closest to the pin in each category. The boys and girls categories are ages 12-13, ages 14-15 and ages 16-17.
Pizza, refreshments and over $500 in prizes will be given away after the golf event. Every participant will receive a prize. Medals will be given after golf event for those present or mailed.
3-on-3 Basketball Tournament
Enter your team in the Maple Grove Days 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament. The top two teams will win a prize in each age group.

Gala in the GroveMeet the newly crowned 2013 Maple Grove Ambassadors, their families and sponsors during Gala in the Grove. A morning to run with your family, neighbors, friends, high school alumni or co-workers.

Geocaching
Participants will learn the basics of Geocaching and then go searching for several caches. GPS units will be provided by REI. Wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather.

Kids’ Fun RunRun/walk your way around North Arbor Lake (located on the east side of Main Street across from the Government Center) for approximately .8 mile route. Race will start/finish on the west side of the Lake, just north of the shopping area. MG Police Dept. will escort runners to ensure safety of everyone.

Stop by the Kids Art Activity in the plaza by 3 Squares Restaurant where members of The Maple Grove Arts Center will be on hand to assist in an art experience: art on a stick. And also visit the Maple Grove Arts Center. Enjoy "fair food" by Main Street restaurants for a Taste of Main Street sampling and specials.

Corn FeedMaple Grove Lions invite you to enjoy some of the “best ever” fresh steamed sweet corn, hot juicy burgers or brats and cold soft drinks. The MG Lions are part of Lions International; the world’s largest service organization. The Lions have enhanced our community with the building of the MGCC Marquee, Picnic Pavilion and Playground. Our city’s Police Department has received emergency defibrillators in each police car, police bicycles, and workout room exercise equipment, along with the Fire Department receiving infrared heat scopes. Yearly, the Lions supply and assemble holiday food baskets for local families, scholarships to local students and much, much more.

Duct Tape Fashion Show and Contest
Are you a believer you can make anything with duct tape? Then here is your challenge. Design anything from duct tape and enter the Duct Tape Contest and/or Fashion Show! Categories are: Best Individual Sculpture, Accessories, Runway Outfit and Best Costume. Participants will meet at the Town Green at 1:30 p.m. Participants will be on stage at 1:50 p.m. Also, check out our “Wearable Duct Tape” workshop for patterns and innovative ideas on Monday, July 1, from 11:30-2:30 p.m.

It’s our 6th annual Rotary “40 Winks” Bed Race. 100% of registration fees and pledges benefit the “40 Winks Foundation” which purchases beds and bedding for local CROSS clients. “40 Winks Foundation” also donates beds to CROSS Bridging, Inc., St. Anne’s Place, World Relief of Minnesota, Union Gospel Missions and Tubman Family Alliance. Racers are judged on time, costume impression and bed design.

One Day Volleyball TournamentSelf-officiated Sand Volleyball Tournament hosted by the Minnesota Recreation & Park Association (MRPA). Four or five team pools begin with round robin play with top teams advancing to a single elimination tournament. Managers will be notified of start time. Maple Grove Area Garden Tours
15th Annual Garden Tour, don't miss this fabulous chance to see some of the most thoughtfully designed gardens in our area. For the first time, workshops will be offered at each of the garden locations. Local experts will offer information on straw bale gardens, landscape design and instruction, veggie, herb and butterfly gardening, landscape and waterscape, and edible landscaping. Tour will also feature raffles garden give-aways and an educational scavenger hunt for children, cooking and recipe ideas, custom containers designed by the Maple Grove Art Center and Hennepin County Master Gardeners at each location.

Maple Grove Historical Preservation Society Museum Open HouseHistory buffs or those just interested in learning about the past will enjoy our new local museum. Stop by for an ice cream social and view historical displays from a 1930’s kitchen to a school display and presentation of war uniforms. Photo boards are on display. You may even find a picture of your family members among the treasures.

Maple Grove Days Art Fair
Art lovers of all ages are invited to shop a wide variety of art mediums. For sale are paintings, sculptures, ceramics and much more. Visit with the artists and get acquainted with their trade. Stop by the Kids Art Activity in the plaza by 3 Squares Restaurant where members of The Maple Grove Arts Center will be on hand to assist in an art experience: art on a stick. And also visit the Maple Grove Arts Center. Enjoy "fair food" by Main Street restaurants for a Taste of Main Street sampling and specials.
