Maple Grove Police Interrupt Theft, Suspect Flees on Motorcycle

A suspect was interrupted in the act on July 21 when attempting to steal from a vehicle on the 9400 block of Dunkirk Lane. The individual fled on a motorcycle, according to Maple Grove police.

A search found an iPod Nano had been stolen from vehicle’s glove box. The incident did not entail a pursuit, no arrests have been made and there are no suspects identified as of Aug. 2, according to Maple Grove Police Captain Tracy Stille.

Theft from Auto

• 6400 block of Wedgewood Road. Report of license plates stolen July 22.

• 6700 block of Hemlock Lane. Report of vehicle broken into and wallet stolen July 25.

• 15100 block of 64th Avenue. Report of license plate stolen off vehicle July 25.

Damage to Property

• 7400 block of Berkshire Lane. Report of several mailboxes damaged in neighborhood July 19.

• 14100 block of 75th Avenue. Report of several mailboxes damaged in neighborhood July 22.

• 11800 block of 64th Avenue. Report of lacrosse net stolen from driveway and patio furniture thrown into pool July 25.

Vandalism

• 9400 block of Teakwood Lane. Report of residence hit by tomatoes July 19.

Theft

• 12500 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of wallet stolen from purse in employee lunchroom July 20.

• 12900 block of Weaver Lake Road. Report of wallet stolen from locker room July 20.

• 9400 block of Dunkirk Lane. Report of individual stealing employee’s Kindle from behind the counter July 21.

• 9400 block of Dunkirk Lane. Report of two cell phones stolen from store July 21.

• 13300 block of Bass Lake Road. Report of vehicle leaving gas station without paying for gas July 22.

• 7100 block of East Fish Lake Road. Report of Schwann’s freezer bag stolen from outside of garage July 23.

• 14700 block of 77th Place. Report of jewelry stolen July 24.

• 13400 block of Grove Drive. Report of vehicle leaving station without paying for gas July 24.

Medical

• 12000 block of 80th Avenue. Responded to individual having trouble breathing, officers provided oxygen until paramedics transported to the hospital July 22.

• 10600 block of 104th Place. Responded to individual experiencing chest pain,  officers administered oxygen until transported to hospital by paramedics July 22.

Burglary

• 15900 block of 72nd Place. Report of property stolen from vehicle inside of garage July 24.

There were 22 property damage and five personal injury traffic accidents reported during this time period.
