Nearby News: Car Towed from Brooklyn Park Had Body in Trunk

At approximately 11 a.m. Monday, May 20, the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of deceased person found inside of a vehicle at Wrecker Services Inc. in Minneapolis, according to a press release. 

"Due to an odor, employees of the wrecker service opened the trunk of the four-door passenger vehicle and found a deceased person inside. They called 911. The Sheriff’s Office and Minneapolis Police responded," the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office said. The Brooklyn Park Police also responded to the incident after it was learned the vehicle had been towed from a location in Brooklyn Park to the Minneapolis lot.

"This case is an active investigation and it is being investigated as a possible homicide," the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office said. 

Brooklyn Park Police, the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office and the Hennepin County Medical Examiner are investigating.
