Opening Night Thursday: Home Base Theatre Presents Shrek the Musical

Indoors or outside, Maple Grove there are a variety of events for residents the week of July 22-27, 2013. Here are a few of the highlights.

With a team of Maple Grove Senior High graduates, Home Base Theatre will debut “Shrek the Musical” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 25. Additional performances are 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 26 and 27 as well as Aug. 1-3; 6 p.m. Sunday, July 28 and a matinee 2 p.m. Aug. 3. Tickets available online. Performances take place at Maple Grove Senior High. 

The Sounds of Summer performance series continues with the following entertainment at Town Green Maple Grove, located at 7991 Main Street.

• 7 p.m. Monday, July 22 – Civic Orchestra of Minneapolis

• 6:30-9:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 24  - Salute to the Music of Bob Dylan

• 11 a.m. Thursday, July 25 – Sticks & Tones music for kids

• Dusk, Friday, July 26 Movies by Moonlight - Wreck It Ralph, rated PG, co-presented with Flash Portraits

Kids are invited to exercise their purchasing power at the Maple Grove Farmers Market 3-7 p.m.  Thursday, July 25 to purchase a favorite fruit or veggie item, or to try something new. Kids and their parents are invited to stop by the Market Information Trailer to pick up a Market scavenger hunt. Complete the scavenger hunt and turn it in to receive a $2 Market token, to be spent on fruits and veggies. This special one-time Power of Produce event is sponsored by Partners in Pediatrics. The Maple Grove Farmers Market is located at Maple Grove Community Center parking lot, 12951 Weaver Lake Road, Maple Grove.
