Paulsen Recognizes Maple Grove as Newest Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Community
Congressman Erik Paulsen, who represents Maple Grove in the U.S. House of Representatives, congratulated the community on the BTYR proclamation.

Rep. Erik Paulsen took to the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives July 23 to recognize Maple Grove as the newest Beyond the Yellow Ribbon community.
“…I commend and congratulate the city of Maple Grove for becoming Minnesota’s newest Beyond the Yellow Ribbon community,” Paulsen said. “The combined efforts of Maple Grove, the people and businesses of its community and the Minnesota National Guard to help ensure our military members and their families have a support structure at home and in the community.”
A Yellow Ribbon Proclamation Ceremony was held Wednesday, July 10 at Maple Grove Town Green.

“Last August, Maple Grove began the process to become a nationally recognized Yellow Ribbon Community," according to the Maple Grove Beyond the Yellow Ribbon website. “A Yellow Ribbon City’s purpose is to unite all areas within a community to create a comprehensive network that connects and coordinates resources for the purpose of proactively supporting service members, veterans and military families.”
