Pick Up Turkey Day Staples at Farmers Market

A variety of locally grown produce, meats, eggs, breads and more will be ready to buy on Thursday.

Continuing the indoor market season, the Maple Grove Farmers Market will be open on Thursday, Nov. 21 from 3-6 p.m. inside the Maple Grove Community Center. A wide variety of locally grown produce, meats, eggs, breads and much more with 25 vendors.

“Thanksgiving is traditionally a time to celebrate the harvest and the blessings of the year,” said Market Manager Kirsten Bansen Weigle. “We can’t think of a better way to do that than to purchase your Thanksgiving meal items directly from the folks who have nurtured the crops, raised the animals, and crafted the breads, jams, pickles and preserves that you’ve enjoyed throughout the market season. Your guests will love these local, unique flavors.”

Future indoor markets are scheduled for 3-6 p.m. on Thursdays, Dec. 5 and 19. The Maple Grove Community Center is located at 12951 Weaver Lake Road in Maple Grove.

Products available at the indoor markets include: locally grown seasonal produce including squash, potatoes, carrots, onions, herbs, salad greens and microgreens, Brussels sprouts, parsnips, and more. Additional products include farmstead pork, beef, and chicken, hand-harvested wild rice, artisan breads and baked goods,  raw honey, apples, maple syrup, farmstead eggs, greens for holiday decoration,  Lebanese specialties, coffee, candy,  flax, and frozen take-home Eastern European specialties.

EBT, credit and debit cards accepted at Market Information Booth. Swipe your Visa, MasterCard or Discover Card for a minimum of $20 to receive market tokens, accepted by all vendors.
