Powerball Jackpot Grows to $600M for Saturday Drawing
If you draw the Powerball winning numbers in Saturday's lottery, you could score $600 million, or a $376.9 million one-time payout, by picking the right Powerball numbers. Check out where to buy a ticket in Maple Grove and past lucky lottery winners.

Powerball results were watched closely Wednesday when the jackpot was $363 million. After no one picked all six winning numbers, the new Powerball prize for the Saturday, May 18, 2013 drawing is now up to $600 million.
The one-time cash payout is estimated at $376.9 million. Tickets are $2 and the game is played in Minnesota and 42 other states, including Florida, Texas, California and New York.

The largest Powerball Jackpot cash payout to date was $384 million and was won on Nov. 28, 2012, in Arizona and Missouri.

Although no one from Maple Grove has won the full jackpot, however, a few lucky players have brought home a $1 million prize, according to the Minnesota State Lottery website.
Richard Schaff of Maple Grove won a $1 million Powerball prize with the numbers drawn on April 13, 2013 with a two-line quick-pick ticket that matched the first five winning numbers drawn. He purchased the winning ticket at Holiday Stationstore, located at 16350 – 96th Ave. N. in Maple Grove.
Marcia Wharton of Maple Grove won $1 million by playing Powerball on March 23 with the second line of her five-line quick-pick Powerball ticket. She bought the ticket at Rainbow Foods, located at 16401 County Road 30 in Maple Grove.
