Spring Into Farming, Raptors in the Yard: Five Things to Do at Three Rivers Parks in April
The free or low-cost events are scheduled April 7-13, 2013.

Free Family Fun Day: Bees, Beetles and Pollination
Sunday, April 7, from 1-3 p.m., at Kroening Interpretive Center, in North Mississippi Regional Park, Brooklyn Center. Take apart real flowers, observe pollinators under a microscope, play a bee game and see a presentation on pollination at 1, 2 and 2:30 p.m. This program is free and open to all ages.

Raptors in the Yard
Sunday, April 7, from 3-4 p.m., at Richardson Nature Center, in Hyland Lake Park Reserve, Bloomington. See live birds of prey, learn their survival strategies, and find out why they live in captivity. Cameras welcome. Drop in anytime. This program is free and open to all ages.

Creature Feature: Turtles
Sunday, April 7, from 1-2 p.m., at Lowry Nature Center, in Carver Park Reserve, Victoria. Meet the live featured creature; make a craft, and do an outdoor activity exploring the creatures’ habitat. Program is free and open to all ages.
Spring Into Farming
Saturday, April 13, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., at Gale Woods Farm, Minnetrista. Meet farm animals and their babies. Get your hands dirty, taste a farm-fresh treat, make a wool craft, and play farm games. Farm-raised concessions are available for an additional fee. Cost is $5 and this program is for ages 2+.
Fairy Springtime
Saturday, April 13, from 10 a.m.-noon, at Eastman Nature Center, in Elm Creek Park Reserve, Dayton. Dance with butterfly wings as you scatter fairy seeds and search for whimsical woodland surprises. Listen to the story “Fairy Houses,” by Tracy Kane, then create your own fairy house for your garden. Cost is $5 and reservations are required; adults and children pay for this program.
