The move comes as the company transfers manufacturing of three industrial floor-cleaning machines from Brooklyn Park to an existing facility in Querétaro, Mexico, concluding U.S. production by early 2026.

The layoffs affect a wide range of positions, from senior engineers and managers to warehouse associates, janitors, and assemblers.

Some employees are represented by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAMAW) Local 77. Non-union workers will have bumping rights, meaning they may be able to move into other positions within the company as jobs are eliminated.

Roles listed in the WARN notice include electrical engineering managers, R&D engineers, operations leaders, production supervisors, mechanical design engineers, technical writers, logistics specialists, quality inspectors, and maintenance staff.

The Nilfisk facility is located at 9435 Winnetka Ave. N. in Brooklyn Park.

Mee Yang, a senior specialist with the State Rapid Response Team, will oversee the state’s response and coordinate assistance for affected workers.
