Two Charged After 46 Guns and Narcotics Found in Maple Grove Residence
The men were arrested after a search warrant was executed Sept. 25 in the 9000 block of Kirkwood Lane North.

Two Maple Grove men face felony charges after the Hennepin County Violent Offender Task Force (VOTF) confiscated 46 firearms and methamphetamine from a home in the 9000 block of Kirkwood Lane North.
The task force, in conjunction with the Maple Grove Police Department, confiscated 46 guns and methamphetamine after conducting a search warrant on Sept. 25 at Ted Richard Otis’ home, according to a press release from the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office. Otis, 50, and his tenant Beau Bradley Nicholson, 30, were both arrested.
Both Otis and Nicholson remain in custody at the Hennepin County Jail.

The day after his arrest, Otis was charged by the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office with two felony drug charges and fifth-degree possession while possessing a firearm, according to the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office. Nicholson was charged with prohibited person in possession of a firearm, a felony.

• AK 7.62mm rifle
• .22 caliber Derringer pistol and two cartridges of .22 caliber ammunition
• .22 long rifle
• .357 Magnum CT6 handgun
• 380 caliber handgun with full magazine
• Tec-DC9 9mm handgun with suppressor and six magazines
• Three .22 caliber rifles
• 410 caliber revolver and five cartridges
• 9mm handgun with three loaded magazines
VOTF consists of officers and deputies from the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office, Brooklyn Park Police, Brooklyn Center Police, Golden Valley Police, Richfield Police, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
