Winter Storm Warning Issued for Hennepin County, Maple Grove
Strong winds and along with snow are forecast to move across Minnesota.

Winter isn’t quite ready to leave the Twin Cities area.
A winter storm warning was issued for Hennepin County about 3:45 a.m. Monday March 18 for Hennepin County, according to the National Weather Service, with “blizzard conditions” expected across western, southern and portions of central Minnesota Monday.
The warning, which is in effect until 1 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, was issued for snow and blowing snow. “Moderate to heavy snow” is expected to continue through the morning with “gusty winds” developing in the afternoon calming down in the evening.

Three to five inches of snow is forecast, according to the National Weather Service, with “sustained winds” of 20 to 30 miles per hour and gusts near 40 miles per hour causing potential visibility conditions.
Traveling up Interstate 94, weather conditions are expected to the worsen - with the St. Michael being under a blizzard warning.
