Katherine Elizabeth Swanson of Mendota Heights Graduates from University of Nebraska-Lincoln
Katherine Elizabeth Swanson of Mendota Heights was among more than 2,800 students who received degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln at commencement exercises May 4 and 5. It was the largest graduating class in UNL history.
Swanson received a bachelor of science in education and human sciences from the College of Education and Human Sciences.
The graduates are from 44 states and 38 countries.

Kwame Dawes, professor of English and Glenna Luschei Editor of the Prairie Schooner at UNL, addressed the May 4 postgraduate ceremony. Gen. C. Robert "Bob" Kehler, commander of the U.S. Strategic Command at Offutt Air Force Base, addressed the May 5 baccalaureate ceremony. Jeffrey Toobin, a staff writer for the New Yorker and senior analyst for CNN, gave the address at the May 5 College of Law ceremony.
