Two teams of second graders from Garlough Environmental Magnet School in West St. Paul will be the only Minnesota students attending the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals at Iowa State University May 23-26—if they are able to fund the trip.
The students are holding a fundraiser at the Culver's in West St. Paul on Tuesday, May 1 to reach their goal. The Odyssey of the Mind students will receive 10 percent of all sales generated from 4-8 p.m., including drive thru, take out, and dine in orders. No flyers are needed.
Fourteen second-graders met twice weekly after school for nine weeks to prepare for the Odyssey of the Mind state tournament on March 31, where one team placed first and the other placed second.
