Gas Prices On The Rise: Here's The Average Price In Dakota County
Gas prices recently hit a national average of $5/gallon. Here's how Dakota County prices compare.
DAKOTA COUNTY, MN — With gas prices on the rise, the average price of gas recently hit $5 per gallon nationally, according to AAA. This is the highest price seen since AAA started tracking national averages, it said.
Dakota County's average price per gallon is a bit lower-$4.76 as of Monday, AAA said.
According to AAA, the cost of a barrel of oil is $120-double the price of oil last year.

California currently has the most expensive gas at $6.43 per gallon, AAA said.
The state with the highest weekly increase in gas prices is West Virginia, whose prices rose 28 cents since last week.

“Based on the demand we’re seeing, it seems high prices have not really deterred drivers,” AAA spokesperson Andrew Gross said “If prices stay at or above $5, we may see people start to change their daily driving habits or lifestyle, but it hasn’t happened yet.”
