ISD 197 Referendum Revenue Authorization Renewal: What To Know
Residents of ISD 197 will be voting on whether or not to renew the school district's existing referendum revenue authorization.

DAKOTA COUNTY, MN — Election Day is here, which means residents in ISD 197 are currently selecting candidates for the School Board race, as well as casting votes on whether or not they wish to renew the school district's existing referendum revenue authorization.
The referendum revenue authorization is a property tax referendum of $224.48 per student and is set to expire after taxes payable in 2021, according to the Secretary of State website.
The proposed referendum revenue authorization would increase each year with inflation and be applicable for 10 years, beginning with taxes payable in 2022, according to the Secretary of State website.

By voting "Yes" on this question, residents are voting to extend a property tax referendum that is set to expire.
