Larsen Declares Victory In ISD 197 School Board Race

Larsen, Hill and Vaupel are in the lead based on unofficial race results.

DAKOTA COUNTY, MN — Sarah Larsen has declared victory in the 2021 ISD 197 School Board race.

Larsen, Marcus Hill and Jon Vaupel are leading in the race, based on unofficial results from the Minnesota Secretary of State.

Larsen ended the night with 3,039 votes.

Hill ended the night with 2,363 votes.

Vaupel ended the night with 2,319 votes.

"We did it!," Larsen shared on her campaign's Facebook page. "Larsen, Hill, Vaupel are ISD 197 incoming school board members and I couldn’t be happier or more humbled by these numbers. Simply said, I’m so excited to serve this community. Thank you to everyone for giving me the opportunity."

Morgan Steele also publicly conceded and congratulated the three on their victory.

"Congratulations to (Sarah Larsen), Jon Vaupel and Marcus Hill! Our students, teachers, families and community are lucky to have your voices joining/remaining on the board," she wrote on her campaign's Facebook page. "Thank you all for your support in my campaign and, most of all, for supporting our levy renewal and our incredible students!"
