Mendota Heights Residents Can Donate Sports Gear May 16-31
The collected items will go to non-profit United Heroes League.
MENDOTA HEIGHTS, MN — Mendota Heights residents can donate their old sports and athletic gear from May 16-31 at City Hall, the city said.
Mendota Heights said it is partnering with non-profit United Heroes League to collect the equipment for military families in need. The non-profit aims to keep military kids active and healthy while their parents serve the country, according to the city.
Used tennis shoes and athletic clothes won't be accepted, but the following items can be donated:

- Good-condition items
- Downhill and cross-country skis
- Cleats for baseball and soccer
- Gloves/mitts
- Skates
- Lacrosse items
- Golf clubs
