Mendota Heights Residents Can Participate In 'No Mow May'

Homeowners across the country can opt out of mowing their lawns in order to help create habitats and food resources for pollinators.

MENDOTA HEIGHTS, MN — The city of Mendota Heights announced Friday that its residents will be able to participate in "No Mow May" if they choose to.

During No Mow May, homeowners across the country can opt out of mowing their lawns in order to help create habitats and food resources for pollinators.

City Council passed a motion Tuesday, April 19, in support of suspending the city's height restrictions for residential lawns, the city said. Non-residential properties will still need to follow the city's Weed and Noxious Vegetation ordinance, according to the city's website.
