Mendota Heights Residents Invited To WSP Shredding Event In April

The free event takes place April 23 at the West St. Paul Sports Complex and also is open to residents of SSP, Sunfish Lake and Lilydale.

West St. Paul, MN —The city of West St. Paul is reminding local residents that on April 23 a free paper shred event will be held for people living in Mendota Heights, West St. Paul, South St. Paul, Sunfish Lake and Lilydale.

The event, which is partially funded by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency and Dakota County, will take place from 9 a.m. to noon at the West St. Paul Sports Complex, 388 Wentworth Ave. E. There is no limit to the number of items one can bring to shred

According to organizers, attendees should shred and then recycle confidential items like:

  • Receipts
  • Check stubs
  • Old bills
  • Banking and loan information
  • Medical records
  • Tax records
  • Investment records
  • Social security numbers
  • Internal correspondence

Attendees are asked to bring the papers in grocery bags rather than boxes.
