Two Mendota Heights Baseball Players Moving On To College
Pacyga and Hazzard off to play college basaball
Angelo Pacyga (Sunfish Lake, Saint Thomas Academy) and Joey Hazzard (West St. Paul, Henry Sibley/Two Rivers) will be going on to play college baseball. Pacyga and Hazzard were teammates growing up playing AAA travel baseball for Mendota Heights.
Pacyga, an outfielder, will be playing NCAA Division 2 for the University of Minnesota Crookston. He earned high school All Star selection, All Section, honorable mention All Conference, and took Third in the High School State Tournament.
Hazzard, a pitcher, will be playing NCAA division 3 for the University of Minnesota-Morris. Hazzard won the Cy Young award for the West St. Paul Challenger Legion. Pacyga & Hazzard are pictured in their American Legion uniforms.
