Want To Be A Firefighter In Mendota Heights?: Here's The First Step
Mendota Heights Fire Department is hosting a Hiring Open House on April 12.
MENDOTA HEIGHTS, MN — Do you want to be a firefighter in the Mendota Heights area? The city's fire department is hosting a Hiring Open House on April 12 from 6-8 p.m. at the Fire Station.
The city's firefighters are paid-on-call volunteers that respond to both fires and medical emergencies, the city said. They serve Mendota Heights, Lilydale, Mendota and Sunfish Lake, according to the city.
The open house will offer information about what it takes to become a firefighter and what type of training you'll receive, the city said. You will also get a tour of the fire station, have opportunities to ask questions and meet the firefighting team, according to the city.

The city said that it will accept firefighter applications from April 5 to May 18.
