CHARLOTTE, NC — The Minnesota Gophers are gearing up for their first-ever appearance in the Duke's Mayo Bowl on Friday, Jan. 3, 2025.

What makes this bowl game unique? The winning coach receives a celebratory mayo bath—a quirky twist on the traditional Gatorade shower, with a cooler full of mayonnaise dumped over the victorious coach to mark the occasion.

Minnesota will face Virginia Tech for the first time in program history, with not just a win but the honor of the coveted mayo bath on the line.
