TWIN CITIES, MN — As the Thanksgiving holiday weekend approaches, the Twin Cities are bracing for a blast of arctic air that will send temperatures plunging to a frigid 8 degrees. Other parts of the Upper Midwest could see temps drop below 0 degrees.

The sharp cold snap is expected to make for one of the coldest Thanksgiving weekends in recent memory, with wind chills making it feel even colder.

Minnesotans will need to bundle up as they prepare for flag football and other Turkey Day celebrations. There is little chance of any snow or rain, however.
