
Beverlee L. King
Beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister peacefully passed away at Gardens of Park Point in Morris on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at the age of 93 years.
Beverlee is survived by her children Matthew (Natalie) Hagberg, Roberta “Bobbie” Miller, Christina “Tina” Gilbertson, Bradley (Patty) Hagberg, and Eric (Connie) Hagberg. Her legacy extends through her eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, each carrying forward the warmth and love she imparted to them. She is also survived by her sister Jeri Clement.
Born on May 15, 1930, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to the late Leonard and Mary (nee Bebensee) King. Beverlee lived a life rich in experiences and connections. She served on the staff of California Senator Barry Keenes and was the personal assistant to the president of American Molding Company of Baltimore, MD. Outside of her professional life, Beverlee was known for her green thumb as a Master Gardener, her flair for interior decorating, her love for fishing, her skill at video poker, her appreciation for wine and her passion for traveling on cruises accompanied by her beloved sister. She was an active member of Messiah Lutheran Church and while living in Tullahoma, TN she was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church. A member of Sweet Adelines Chorus and the Red Hat Society, Beverlee volunteered at St. Joseph Medical Center and Habitat for Humanity in Joliet. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
