  1. Dayton Sauke of Owatonna pleaded guilty to illegally possessing a firearm after bragging about his plans to kill a police officer at the Capitol protest turned violent. He entered his plea in federal court in Minneapolis. (knoxradio)
  2. A shootout at Side Chick restaurant in Minneapolis left seven people injured. One person is in critical condition, five in serious condition, and one in good condition. All are expected to survive, and officers have no suspects.(Minneapolis Star Tribune)
  3. The Black Entrepreneur State Fair returns to Minneapolis for its second year. Black-owned businesses were reportedly hit hardest during the pandemic, declining more than 40 percent — making the Fair a welcomed jump-start to normal. The Black Entrepreneur State Fair is open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. until Saturday, August 28. Head down to 920 E. Lake Street in Minneapolis with $5 for admission to enjoy the Fair! (KARE11.com)
