Streets in downtown Minneapolis are closing this week for the NHL Winter Classic at Target Field on Saturday, Jan. 1.

Beginning the morning of Tuesday, Dec. 28 until the afternoon of Sunday, Jan. 2, the following streets will be closed for activities related to the NHL Winter Classic:

• Sixth Street North from Second Avenue North to Hennepin Avenue.
• First Avenue North from Seventh Street North to Fifth Street North.
