1. Several people were injured in a crash Monday afternoon when Minneapolis police chased a speeding vehicle onto Olson Memorial Highway and the vehicle crashed into a Metro Transit bus shelter, injuring at least one additional person. The car “was involved in multiple robberies and attempted robberies in south Minneapolis,” KARE11 reports. (KARE11)
2. Minneapolis DFL Chair Briana Rose Lee came under fire Monday when she tweeted on the anniversary of President Ronald Reagan’s death, “19 years ago today Ronald Reagan did his one good deed for the world.” She deleted the tweet and state chair Ken Martin said her words “do not reflect the values of the DFL Party…We expect better of leaders within our party, and we will continue holding ourselves to the high standard that Minnesotans deserve." 3. “Good Morning America” selected a novel by Minneapolis author Emma Törzs as its June book club pick for viewers. "Ink, Blood, Sister, Scribe” is her debut novel. (BMTN)
