Cyclist Hit, Killed By Car At Minneapolis Intersection
Police say the cyclist ran a stop sign before getting hit by the car.
MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Minneapolis police are investigating a fatal crash involving a bicyclist and a car on Tuesday, July 23. Police arrived at the intersection of N. Dowling Avenue and N. Humboldt Avenue around 11:45 p.m.
Police say a car was driving west on Dowling and the cyclist was going north on Humboldt. The cyclist failed to stop at a stop sign, police said.
The car hit the cyclist, and adult man, causing fatal injuries.

Police say the driver of the car stayed at the scene of the crash and cooperated with Minneapolis Police Department traffic investigators.
Police say there's no indication that alcohol or drugs were a factor in the fatal crash.

A second cyclist was not injured, police say.
The identity of the cyclist has not yet been released, pending an examination by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office.
