Fairview Cutting 250 Jobs, Cites Inflation And Labor Costs
The roles will mostly be phased out by the end of the year, according to the Minneapolis-based health system.
MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Fairview Health Services is cutting about 250 jobs across its network, the provider announced Thursday.
The roles will mostly be phased out by the end of the year, according to the Minneapolis-based health system, which noted the number of eliminated positions is less than 1 percent of Fairview’s overall workforce.
“As we evaluate operations, prioritize our patients and support the team members who care for them, we must evolve as a team,” Fairview said in a prepared statement, citing inflation and rising labor costs. “Today’s announcement of changes across our organization is a difficult but necessary step in building a strong and sustainable future for Fairview.”
