After a rainy Fourth of July, hot and summery weather is finally coming to the Twin Cities.

MINNEAPOLIS — After a rainy Fourth of July, hot and summery weather is finally coming to the Twin Cities.

The high temperatures will hang out in the 80s from Monday to Wednesday, with mostly dry weather.

After that, "Thursday and Friday will begin a gradual warm up into next weekend when we may see our first 90 of the year," the National Weather Service said.

Monday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 81. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Monday Night: A 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7pm. Mostly clear, with a low around 65. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Tuesday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Sunny, with a high near 84. Calm wind becoming north northwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 66. North wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
